Frequently Asked Questions

How do i get started?

You can reach out through my contact form, Psychology Today, or Bene Therapy to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This gives us a chance to see if we’re a good fit before booking an intake session.

DO you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

I currently offer virtual and in-person sessions in Seattle, Washington. All virtual sessions are conducted over Simple Practice—a secure, HIPAA compliant platform.

What are your rates?

My rate for individual therapy is $150 per 50-minute session. Couples and family sessions are $200 per 50-minute session. I offer limited sliding scale spots for those with financial need— please feel free to ask about availability.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with Cigna, Aetna, Regence, Kaiser, Premera, and United/Optum. I’m happy to provide a superbill for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm your coverage.

Please note regarding Couples Therapy:

I don’t bill insurance for couples sessions. This is because most insurance companies only reimburse therapy that’s focused on treating a diagnosable mental health condition in one individual. Since couples therapy is centered on the relationship itself—not just one person—it usually doesn’t meet the criteria insurance plans require for coverage.

Not using insurance allows us to focus fully on your relationship without needing to pathologize anyone or fit our work into a medical model. If you have questions or want to talk more about this, I’m happy to connect.

What’s Your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged at the full session fee.
